Tata Safari 10,000th unit rolls off the production line

– Powered by 2.0 liter diesel engine

– Rivals with MG Hector, Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV500

The Tata Safari hit its first major milestone as the 10,000th vehicle rolled off the production line from the automaker’s plant in Pune, Maharashtra. The Indian car maker started production of the Safari earlier this year in January, followed by the SUV’s launch and pricing event in February 2021. 9,900 Safaris were eventually produced. in less than four months, Tata Motors said.

Tata Safari currently holds a 25.2% market share in the popular three-row SUV segment. Last month, the segment saw a new entry as the Hyundai Alcazar, which has now obtained more than 11,000 pre-orders. The MG Hector Plus is another major Safari competitor, which, along with its five-seat Hector sibling, recorded average monthly sales of nearly 3,000 units in the first half of CY2021.
