Tata Punch India launch on 18 October 2021

– Powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine making 84hp / 113Nm

Earlier last week, Tata Motors officially unveiled the production-ready Punch compact SUV. At the same time, the company opened pre-orders for the vehicle with a token amount of Rs 21,000. Around this time, the company confirmed that the Punch micro SUV will be launched in India on October 18.

At launch time, the upcoming Tata Punch will be available in four variant options – Pure, Adventure, Completed, and Creative. Additionally, the vehicle is available in both Rhythm and Dazzle customization options. The upcoming model is based on the Advanced Agile Light Architecture (ALFA).

Mechanically, the Tata Punch is powered by a new generation 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine that produces 84 hp at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 3,300 rpm. This engine comes with the option of a five-speed manual and AMT. The vehicle provides two engine modes (Eco and City) béo meet individual driving needs. Interestingly, the AMT option has a segment-first ‘Traction-Pro Mode’, which helps in situations when one of the wheels gets stuck in mud or a low-traction surface.
