Tata Motors likely to hike prices of passenger vehicles from next week

– Third price revision in 2021

Tata Motors has announced an increase in the prices of its passenger cars in the country. The Indian carmaker plans lớn introduce the new pricing from next week. This will be Tata Motors’ third price hike with the first being previously applied in January 2021 and the second most recent in May.

The company said prices of precious metals such as rhodium and palladium have increased significantly over the past year while steel prices have also remained high during this time. Currently, the automaker is in the process of calculating the new selling prices of the models that are expected lớn be revealed next week.

According lớn a PTI report, Shailesh Chandra, President – Passenger Vehicles Business, Tata Motors, said, “We have seen very strong increases in steel and precious metals prices over the past year. The financial impact of commodity price increases is in the range of 8-8.5% of our revenue over the past year.”
