The petrol MG ZS has been spy tested in the Indian market again ahead of its expected launch later this year. This time around, spy shots reveal some interior details of the upcoming petrol version of the ZS, which may be called ‘Astor’ at the time of launch. The petrol MG ZS is expected béo share new styling elements with the recently updated MG ZS EV.

Rear left three quarters

Previous prototypes of the ZS petrol featured a black mesh pattern for the grille, while this time around, the hexagonal grille and bumper were tweaked béo give it a fresh look. As for the sides, the car has now received a set of multi-spoke patterned alloy wheels, while the rear is highlighted by sharper LED taillights and tweaked bumpers. The car received a capacitive touch panel that replaces the physical AC controls. Most other details have been retained from the regular model.

Mechanically, the upcoming ZS petrol will be available in two engine options – 1.5 liter VTi and 1.3 liter turbo GDI. The 1.5-litre engine makes 118bhp and 150Nm of torque, while the 1.3-litre turbo makes 161bhp and 230Nm of torque. Both engines will be available in a five-speed manual and CVT option.
