Mahindra launched the new Bolero Neo in India last month. Just three weeks after its launch, the rugged yet sophisticated SUV has already attracted more than 5,500 pre-orders. Neo has also collected more than 30,000 requests. Based on the numbers, it looks like Mahindra’s unorthodox entry into the compact SUV segment with a rear-wheel drive and body-on-frame SUV has been a hit.

While the Bolero Neo uses a prestigious name, it also offers buyers a new 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine, a refreshed exterior, a spacious cabin and an extensive equipment list. Square headlights with integrated LED DRLs, black body panels and a rear-door-mounted spare wheel with an X-shaped body-color cover give the Neo a distinctive look. Bolero Neo’s cabin features a 5+2 seating layout, black and beige theme, seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, height-adjustable driver’s seat, electrically adjustable ORVM, bags Dual front air, ISOFIX child anchors and Blue Sense connectivity car technology.
