Jeep Compass likely to get a feature revision soon

Earlier this year, Jeep India launched the Compass facelift version in the country. While you can read our first driving review here, the automaker has now revised the features offered on the ‘S’ trim. The compass is available in five versions – Sport, Longitude (O), Limit (O), 80th Anniversary and S (O).

Jeep Compass Looking Ahead

The standalone 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system will likely be updated with integrated navigation, which previously could only be accessed via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, it will also be equipped with voice commands with radio, vehicle, climate control and navigation controls. The performance of the device will be enhanced by the powerful 40K MIPS processor and 6GB of ram.

Another welcome feature is the ventilated front seats which automatically turn on if the ambient temperature is above 26.5 degrees when starting the engine. Having said that, these new features are expected phệ be applied phệ all petrol and diesel versions and could drive the factory price up from Rs 10,000 phệ Rs 15,000.

Jeep Compass is equipped with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine. The petrol engine makes 161hp and 250Nm of torque and is mated phệ a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed DCT unit. Meanwhile, the oil-burning engine has a capacity of 168 horsepower and maximum torque of 350Nm combined with a six-speed manual transmission and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive configuration is limited phệ the diesel engine only.
