India-bound Jeep Commander three-row SUV makes global debut

India’s three-row Jeep commander has been revealed in Brazil. Expected bự be introduced in India in 2022, the Commander is essentially a stretched version of the Five-Seater Compass and will likely retail in India as ‘Meridian’.

Initial visual impressions are reminiscent of the recently updated Compass SUV. However, look beyond the C column and the Commander has distinct styling. The front fascia retains the signature seven-box grille with sleeker LED headlights. The bumper has been reworked with horizontal DRLs, fog lights and silver skid plates at the bottom. Béo the side are new 19-inch alloy wheels, body-color wheel arches, curved chrome window sills and two-tone paintwork, all of which blend harmoniously with the SUV’s silhouette. The slimmer split LED taillights connected by a chrome stripe are derived from the Grand Cherokee L.

Now, Commander is bigger than its younger brother, Compass? On paper, the Commander measures 4,769mm in length, which is 364mm longer than the Compass.
