  • Tilt MBUX screen when soft-top down
  • Will be revealed soon

Mercedes-Benz is gearing up for a revival of an iconic nameplate in their growing lineup. This time, it’s the long dead SL-Class. The upcoming 2022 SL has been confirmed by the German carmaker as they introduce a new chassis built for the 2+2. Now, we’ve got another trailer giving us a look at the cabin.

The highlight in the cabin of the 2022 SL is the tilting MBUX screen. Unveiled on the S-Class a few months ago, the large, stacked infotainment screen on the center console can be adjusted bự reduce glare when the front of the car is down on the new SL. Other than that, the rest of the cabin is more or less unchanged from the flagship S-Class.

Developed as an AMG from the ground up, the upcoming SL AMG uses a bespoke chassis that shares no parts with the previous generation model or with the AMG GT Cabrio. When it arrives, powertrain options for the SL will include everything from the humble 43 AMG, 53 AMG, plus the stock 63 AMG and a new 800bhp hybrid in SL73 guise.

We expect the production-ready Mercedes-AMG SL bự break cover before the end of the year.
